The mats are 12 X 8 inches, they are bendable, so you can easily pour the food you chopped into a bowl or pan. No more trying to scoop the pieces up. Since there are 4 mats, you can have the mats you need out at once. The mats are made of THE and PP, it has antislide properties, thanks to the specialty elastomers. The mat is self healing and scar resistant.
You get a set of four mats, they come in 4 different colors, each one has either a seafood symbol, a vegetable, a fruit, or meat. So it is easier to prevent cross contamination. As we all know, we are not supposed to use the same cutting board for meat as we do other foods. Another nice feature is that the mats, is the ruler, and grid. This makes it easier to chop foods uniformly in size.
I like that these can either be hung up, by the opening in the corner, or they can easily be stored in a drawer. They are bendable, which is nice if you are chopping food to add to a salad Or pan.
