The straw is BPA free, chemical and chlorine free.
The straw is easy to use, use it like you woukd any other straw. Be sure to blow it out after you are finished drinking from it. You should do this to remove any residual water and any residue left in the straw. This allows you to continue to have fresh water in the future uses. Allow both ends to dry before recapping.
I like that the straw uses natural ingredients to filter the water. Coconut activated carbon is used as the filter. This straw would be great to keep in your camping and fishing gear. If you are a hiker or biker, you could keep one in your pack, in case you were to get stranded. It would be a great addition to an emergency preparedness kit. Buy one for each family member.
