This 24 pack comes in a neatly designed, artistic box. The box can be opened so that the k cups are east to remove. The box looks nice enough to sit in plain sight. These k cups are compatible with most single cup brewing systems. The exception being the 2.0 and the vue. I received these all natural k cups in exchange for my honest opinion.
I had never really looked at the ingredients on my old hot chocolate before receiving these k cups. All I can say is wow. I really need to read more ingredient labels. I have been trying to eliminate artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners and such from our diets, yet had never given out hot Chocolate a second thought. My old hot chocolate contains things such as artificial preservatives additives, flavors, sweeteners. Not to mention things that I can barely pronounce.
So what is in the Black Bear Market Hot Chocolate? They are made in the USA, with all natural ingredients. These ingredients include:
• Pure Cane Sugar
• Nonfat dry milk
• Cocoa
• Whey
• Natural Flavor
• Salt
• Locust Bean Gum
• Stevia
*HMM! What is Locust Bean Gum?
It is a vegetable gum extracted from the seeds of the carob trees in the Mediterranean.
* Stevia is a natural sweetener and sugar substitute extracted from the leaves of the stevia plant.
Each K cup makes an 8 ounce mug of hot chocolate. Each contains no fat, 50 calories and 9 grams of sugar. That is provided you don't add any marshmallows or whipped cream, etc. This hot chocolate does taste different than what most of us are used to. This is because we are used to the artificial hot chocolates, that are overly sweetened and contain little or no chocolate. (Or chocolate flavoring) It may take a bit to get used to, the taste. It tastes, creamy and chocolatey. Similar to the hot chocolate that I purchased at a candy shop. The hot chocolate there was made with melted gourmet chocolate and hot frothed milk.
