Vanilla Essential Oil

●Vanilla has antibacterial properties. Vanillin, helps cleanse your skin, reducing the occurrence of pimples and acne. 

● Vanilla is rich in antioxidants,  so it can help prevent and reverse sun spots, wrinkles and fine lines. Slowing down the signs of aging. 

● Promotes healthy skin. The B vitamins in vanilla play an important role In the maintenance of healthy skin. The antioxidants protect your skin from environmental damage. To make a scrub, scrape the seeds of 5 vanilla  beans, add 3 T brown sugar, 2 drops of vanilla essential oil to fresh squeezed lemon juice. Massage into face for a few minutes. Rinse well with warm water.  Splash with cold water. 

● For silky hair- hair pack, melt 4 ounces of Shea butter, after fully melted, add 2 drops vanilla essential oil,  2T Almond oil, jojoba and castor oil. After cooling blend until smooth. Leave on hair for 30 minutes. Wash with mild soap. 

● Hair growth combine 10 drops each of lavender and vanilla essential oil to 1/4 warmed carrier oil such as coconut, olive, jojoba . Apply from roots to tips. Massage scalp for a few minutes. Wrap with a warm towel for 30 minutes.  Wash with mild shampoo.

About Vanilla Essential Oil 

Vanilla essential oil is extracted from the vanilla plant, which is native to Central America and Mexico but also is found in other tropical regions. Essential oils are so named because they come from the essence of the plant. Specifically, vanilla oil comes from the plant's green fruit. The oil commonly is used inscented candles, body oil and other holistic health or beauty treatments.

The lengthy process for making vanilla essential oil makes it one of the more expensive oils to buy. It is versatile, however, and it blends well with other oils. Its scent is sweet yet neutral, which makes it good for pairing with sandalwood, lavender, orange orlemon oil, to name a few.

The process for making this oil starts with picking and then drying the plant's fruit until it becomes a fragrant bean. The scent from the beans is then extracted with a process that uses odorless fats. These fats are used to absorb the scent.

This vanilla essential oil has a wonderful scent. When used in a diffuser, your house will smell like you have been baking. It can be used on your skin, your hair.
